Description: Students will practice learning about distance and directions of maps
Whole Group Practice: IXL Q6
Homework: Students will create 3 sets of directions from a starting point, and then draw a map which displays how to return back to the starting point.

Description: Students will learn how to write and interpret real life uses of inequalities using word problems
Whole group practice: teacher and student made problems

Lesson: Identifying representative, random and biased samples
Description: Students will practice analyzing data samples for hidden bias
Whole Group practice: Students will record characteristics of the types of samples by analyzing errors in questions

Lesson: Rotational symmetry
Description: We will review degrees of rotation for rotational symmetry (smallest amount turned to have an identical image)
Whole group practice of IXL 8th P3 Rotational symmetry: amount of rotation
Homework: Students will take a picture of 2 objects in their house that have rotational symmetry and calculate the minimum degree of rotation

Lesson: Review of the week’s lessons
Description: Students will answer trivia questions in small groups about maps, inequalities, biased samples, and rotational symmetry.
Assignment: Khan Academy(30 minutes)
