LITERACY (Cardenas)

Monday 4/27

Lección: El maestro introducirá los partes de un poema: el verso, el estrofa y la rima.
Lesson: Teacher will introduce the parts of a poem: verse, stanza and rhyme.

Tarea: Los estudiantes crearán una tira de cómic usando lenguaje figurado.
Homework: Students will create a comic book strip using figurative language.

 

Tuesday 4/28

Lección: Técnica de formulación de preguntas (QFT): El maestro presentará un Enfoque de Preguntas (Imagen de un Bracero rociado con DDT). Los estudiantes escribirán tantas preguntas como puedan sobre la imagen. El maestro luego dirigirá la discusión.

Lesson: Question Formulation Technique (QFT): Teacher will present a Question Focus (Image of a Bracero sprayed with DDT). Students will write as many questions as they can about the image. Teacher will then lead the discussion.
Tarea: Los estudiantes mirarán varias imágenes de Braceros y escribirán lo que ven, piensan y se preguntan relacionadas con esas imágenes
Homework: Students will look at several images about Braceros and write what they see, think, and wonder related to those images.

Lección: Los estudiantes presentarán sus tiras de cómic.
Lesson: The students will present their comic book strips.

 

Tarea: Los estudiantes trabajarán en una revisión de prueba en Quizizz.
Homework: Students will work on a quiz review on Quizizz.

Monday 4/27

Tarea: Los estudiantes van a crear una colcha de cooperación. Los estudiantes dibujarán un cuadro que muestra una imagen de la cooperación en acción. Los estudiantes deben intentar que sea del tamaño de una hoja de papel normal, si es posible.

Homework: Students are going to create a cooperation quilt. Students will draw one one square that shows a picture of cooperation in action. Students should try to make it the size of a regular sheet of paper, if possible.

Tarea: Cooperación: los estudiantes continuarán ilustrando su cuadrado para la colcha de cooperación.

Homework: Cooperation - Students will continue illustrating their square for the cooperation quilt.

Wednesday 4/29

Tarea: Los estudiantes responderán la siguiente pregunta: Estás tratando de contarle a tu madre sobre tu día de clases de Google Meet, pero tu hermano, hermana o primo pequeño sigue interrumpiendo. ¿Qué puedes hacer?

Homework: Students will answer the following question: You are trying to tell your mom about your day of Google Meet classes, but your little brother, sister, or cousin keeps interrupting you. What can you do?

 

Thursday 4/30

Tarea: Los estudiantes responderán las siguientes preguntas: ¿Te gusto tu trabajo en la clase del Sr. Cárdenas? ¿Lo disfrutaste o no y por qué? Si pudieras elegir un trabajo de clase para ti, ¿cuál sería?

Homework: Students will answer the following questions: How did you feel about your class job in Mr. Cardenas's class? Did you enjoy it or not, and why? If you could choose a class job for yourself what would it be?

 

Friday 5/1

Tarea: Los estudiantes escucharán una canción que disfrutan y dibujarán en una hoja de papel con los ojos cerrados. Los estudiantes se centrarán en las emociones y sentimientos de la canción mientras dibujan.

Homework: Students will listen to a song they enjoy, and scribble on a sheet of paper while their eyes are closed. Students will focus on the emotions and feelings of the song as they scribble.

Lesson: Improper Fractions and Mixed Numbers
Students will be able to convert an "IF" to a "MN" and back.

Review: Students will practice multiplying fractions, multiplying fractions with whole numbers.
Lesson: Dividing Fractions
Students will be able to divide fractions and explain the process.
Assignment: Google docs. and/or links on google classroom.

Wednesday 4/29

Review: Students will practice "IF" to "MN" and back, dividing fractions.
Lesson: QUIZ: multiplying, dividing, IF and MN.
Assignment: Google docs.

 

Thursday 4/30

Lesson: Khan Academy
Goal 1: continue to work towards 100% mastery at grade level.
Goal 2: Reach 50% mastery of skills for next grade level.
Assignment: Khan Academy link on google classroom.

 

Friday 5/1

Fun Friday: Wear a Hat Day
Lesson: students will present Scavenger Hunt projects.
Assignment: google slides

Sun close reading activity and slides. Students will complete reading questions on google slides.

 

Thursday 4/30
"The Sun is Kind of a Big Deal" read aloud. Students will make their own short story about the sun and share on google docs.
