Kindergarten

Students introduced to beginning coding concepts through Code.org puzzle-based lessons using blocks to create movement.

 

First Grade
Digital Literacy Illustrations: students explore the online book ‘Library Lion’ and use Google Drawings to design their own illustration for their favorite book.
 

Second Grade

Students select an animal to research, use a Google Doc to explain interesting facts about it, add an image from the Internet or create their own illustration.

Third Grade

Computer History Buncee: Students use Google News to research and share what they've learned about a current technology topic.

Fourth Grade

Digital Citizenship: focus on connections and community - students differentiate the negative and positive aspects of an online community and identify ways to interact respectfully online.

 

Fifth Grade

Students design a credibility poster with tips for evaluating the credibility of online sources

 

Sixth Grade

Science of Sound:Students will study vibrations and how instruments make different sounds.

Third Grade

Melodic Movement: Students will learn about how melodies can move up and down and sing the "Star Spangled Banner"

Fourth Grade

Room 201: Brass for Beginners Natural Trumpet: Students will continue Unit 3/Chapter 8 and learn about the trumpet Olympics and play Olympic songs. Room 204: Recorder Practice with chords and harmony, Students will play the song Hawaii 6-0 and work on Recorder Karate.

 

Fifth Grade

Chords and Harmony: Students will learn about chords and harmony and practice them on Chrome Music Lab.

 

Sixth Grade

Continue Composer Information: Students will learn about two more composers. They will view the composer list and choose one composer to learn about individually.
