Technology - Ms. Mahoney

Kindergarten

Students build on basic coding concepts. They are introduced to debugging as they find and fix errors in their code, and experiment with the repeat block to loop their code

 

First Grade
Introduction to robots: students learn about robots, how they work, and their impact on our lives through interactive BrainPop activities.

Second Grade

Amazing Stars and Planets Project. Students explore online activities, then use Awwap to create a digital design illustrating 3 facts they find interesting about our solar system.

Third Grade

Students discover the basics of how computers work and how components of a computer are designed as they explore and interact with BrainPop activities.

Fourth Grade

Digital Citizenship: focus on safety and privacy - students explore specific strategies and steps to keep their private information safe online.

 

Fifth Grade

Students design their own interactive Google logo using the Scratch programming language

 

Sixth Grade

Students research and organize information about a location of their choice and develop spreadsheet skills as they use Google Sheets to create an interactive guide.

Kindergarten

Practice Tempo: Students will define tempo vocabulary and move to and sing different tempos.

 

First Grade
Practice Dynamics: Students will define dynamic vocabulary and sing and play different dynamics

Second Grade

Introduce Composing: Students will learn about composition and compose rhythms. They will practice on chrome music lab.

Third Grade

Practice Form: Students will define Form and sing and move to different examples of form (structure/organization of a song).

Fourth Grade

Room 201: Brass for Beginners Natural Trumpet: Students will continue Unit 3/Chapter 9 and learn about ROME and play Roman songs. Room 204: Recorder Practice with chords and harmony, Students will play and Sing the song "Miss Mary Mack" and work on Recorder Karate.

 

Fifth Grade

Practice Major and Minor: Students will learn about Major and Minor chords in music and then practice on Chrome Music Lab.

 

Sixth Grade

Continue Composer Information: Students will learn about Debussy and Ravel. They will begin to research their chosen composer and answer the questions on their google document.

Seventh Grade & Eighth Grade
