Monday 4/27

This week we will discuss rhyming and poetry! Teacher will read Silly Sally and guide students to listen for rhyming words.

 

SEL: We will sing our morning meeting song which celebrates students being ready to learn, and asks them how they are feeling. Teacher guides student in explaining why they feel that way and offers suggestions for next steps.

 

Tuesday 4/28

Rhyme or not a rhyme game on google classroom. Students will do a thumbs up or down after the teacher says two words to determine if they rhyme or not.

 

SEL: Speech share and show activity: Students will practice listening, patience, taking turns, and giving comments and asking thoughtful questions.

 

Wednesday 4/29

Wilson Wednesday: We will review letters, their sounds, diagraphs, and welded sounds with visuals. Then, we will practice strategies for decoding words.

Students will be asked to identify a letter, or decode a one syllable word using strategies.

Single digit addition week 2. Today we will review the touch math strategies discussed last week.

Teacher will model how to use pictures to solve addition problems.

 

Wednesday 4/29

We will practice using both touch math and picture strategies for solving addition problems.

 

Thursday 4/30

Today we will discuss how to use number lines to count up to solve addition problems.

 

Friday 5/1

Today we will review all of the different strategies for solving addition problems.
