Monday 5/4

We will talk about our bodies this week! We will read My Body on Kids A-Z.

SEL: We will sing our morning meeting song which celebrates students being ready to learn, and asks them how they are feeling. Teacher guides student in explaining why they feel that way and offers suggestions for next steps.

Tuesday 5/5

Teacher will teach the "because" song to learn how to spell the word because. We will practice using that word in sentences to tell our opinions.

SEL: Speech share and show activity: Students will practice listening, patience, taking turns, and giving comments and asking thoughtful questions.

Wednesday 5/6

Wilson Wednesday: We will review letters, their sounds, diagraphs, and welded sounds with visuals. Then, we will practice strategies for decoding words.

Thursday 5/7

Students will share their picture and sentence for what they like about themselves and why.

SEL:  We will build upon our previous lesson about how facial expressions show emotions to also add in how body language show emotions as well.

Friday 5/8

Students will be asked to identify a letters, letter sounds, or decode a one syllable word using strategies.

MATH 

Monday 5/4

Skip counting! Teacher will introduce the hundreds chart and lead a discussion about number patterns. The class will count to 100.

Tuesday 5/5

Today we will practice skip counting by 10's and look at the hundred chart for patterns.

 

Wednesday 5/6

Today we will practice skip counting by 5's and look at the hundred chart for patterns.

 

Thursday 5/7

Today we will practice skip counting by 2's and look at the hundred chart for patterns.

 

Friday 5/8

Teacher will model and lead discussion about how skip counting is used for counting money and time.
